This page explains how to delete your wonderwhy account and the data linked to it. wonderwhy is published by Yiğit Özdemir (Yelkovan.ai).
In the app
- Open wonderwhy and go to the Profile tab.
- At the bottom, tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete account permanently.
Your account is deleted at once. If you signed in with Apple, you may be asked to confirm with your Apple ID, so that the app can also revoke its access to it.
Without the app
If you no longer have the app or can’t sign in, write to info@yelkovan.ai from your account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my account”. We delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you used Sign in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us the relay address Apple gave us, or write from your Apple ID’s address.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, name and sign-in details.
- Everything stored under it: preferences, saved stories, history, listening queue, the topics and sources you follow or mute, your word list and your listening progress.
- All your votes and poll answers.
- Your daily usage counters and audio job records.
What is kept, and for how long
- Nothing linked to your account stays on our servers.
- Problem reports you sent aren’t linked to any account. They are deleted after 7 days.
- Server logs (IP address, app and device details, no account ID) are deleted after 7 days.
- On your phone, the app keeps its settings (topics, languages, text size) so it keeps working. Deleting the app removes them.
If you only looked around without an account, the guest ID the app may have created is deleted automatically after 7 days without use, together with its votes. The Privacy Policy lists how long we keep each kind of data.
